Walks Lake District guide a stunning Lake District walk that provides breath-taking views with some steep ascents.

Setting out from the Wasdale Head Inn the route meanders along the beck into Mosedale with a short steep ascent to Dore Head. A right turn then follows with great views down the valley we ascend Red Pike, with Little Scoat Fell, and Black Crags before dropping down to Wind Gap’s col. A steep ascent onto Pillar where we stay on the high route before descending to Black Sail Pass and another ascent up to Kirk Fell. With a lot of ascents and two cols to contend with, this is fantastic and challenging Lake District walk.
